Museum Core Documents

This collection contains 5 short video tutorials and 2 narrated presentations on the five core documents fundamental for basic professional museum operations: Mission Statement, Strategic Plan, Collections Management, Emergency Plan and Code of Ethics. The short video tutorials were recorded with Julie Hart, Senior Director of Museum Standards & Excellence at the American Alliance of Museums, at the 2016 ATALM annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona, and the narrated presentations contain the audio and slides of the session "Museum Core Documents," also given at the 2016 ATALM annual conference by Julie Hart, Erin Younger, Independent Professional and Research Associate at the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage; Arthur H. (Art) Wolf, Founder & Principal of WOLF Consulting; and Anne McCudden, Executive Director of the Thomas County Historical Museum.
