Museum Core Documents: Emergency Plan

In this video, Julie Hart, Senior Director of Museum Standards & Excellence at the American Alliance of Museums, provides an overview of one of the five core documents for museums: the Emergency Plan. Hart discusses what an emergency or disaster plan is, why it is important, the benefits of having an emergency plan in place, and the required elements for writing an effective emergency plan. This video supplements the session, "The Core Documents Your Museum Needs (Part 2 and 2)" given at the 2016 ATALM annual conference held in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 10-13, 2016.
