These slides were used for the 2015 Pre-ATALM Workshop co-sponsored by the Sustainable Heritage Network titled "Preserving and Enhancing Native Langauge Resources in Tribal Libraries, Archives, and Museums," held in Washington, D.C. on September 10, 2015. Topics covered in this workshop include different audio recording formats, best practices for extracting audio from compact disks, text standards, recording best practices for language, metadata, prioritizing preservation over presentation, rights management, language documentation using mobile devices, some basics on using Audacity, how to document language using SayMore, and how to use Mukurtu Mobile for language documentation.
