Controlled Vocabularies and Subject Access

In this video, Maggie Kruesi, Folklife Specialist at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, discusses the importance of using controlled vocabularies in your metadata systems. Kruesi explains what controlled vocabularies are, what do they enable you to do at your institution, where they are available, and the advantages of using linked open data in your cataloging systems.
