In this video, Scott Merritt, Deputy Assistant Director for Operations at the National Museum of the American Indian in New York, discusses the requirements of an emergency plan, the steps that TALMs should take to prepare for natural disasters, and key resources, information, and contacts available for tribal organizations at the national level. Merritt focuses his presentation on flooding and on lessons learned at NMAI from dealing with Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
