Why Does NARA Tag Catalog Records that are Not Yet Scanned?

Description: 

In this video, Carol Buswell, Education Specialist, National Archives and Records Administration, and Sara Lyons Davis, Education Specialist, National Archives and Records Administration, introduce the Native Communities program, a new National Archives' resource in which users may tag, transcribe, and describe primary source records that are in archives. Digitization policies and access are also discussed. This video supplements the session "Accessing Native American Resources from the National Archives: A New Resource" given at the 2018 ATALM annual conference held in Prior Lake, Minnesota, on October 8-11, 2018.
