From Theory to Action: “Good Enough” Digital Preservation Solutions for Under-Resourced Cultural Heritage Institutions

Description:

This document is a paper from the Digital POWRR Project presentation on managing and preserving digital objects with limited resources. The project investigated challenges that professionals serving smaller institutions are often faced with, including restricted resources of time, training, and support. The paper outlines conclusions of their study and pragmatic approaches of first steps in digital preservation. The appendices include a glossary of terms and digital preservation case studies of several Illinois universities.

This resource is part of the Digital POWRR Project's workshop on digital preservation From Theory to Action: A Pragmatic Approach to Digital Preservation Tools and Strategies. All of the POWRR Project's handouts, resources, and examples are available on their website I Survived A POWRR Workshop.
