Sound Directions: Best Practices for Audio Preservation

The primary focus of this publication is to formulate best practices for the preservation of digital audio, post-digitization. This report also includes best practices for the transfer of analog audio to digital, but is a secondary focus. The best practices in this publication are based on the practices of several institutions, which have been distilled into the recommendations provided in the report.
