Innovative Applications of TV Whitespaces in Archives, Libraries, and Museums

Description:

In this presentation, Kristen Rebmann, Associate Professor at San Jose State University, School of Information and Jeff Garcie from the Alutiiq Museum and Archaeological Repository in Kodiak, Alaska, introduce the innovative applications of TV WhiteSpace (TVWS) technology, a valuable license-exempt radio spectrum located in the bands for traditional TV broadcast. The presentation slides cover how Tribal libraries and museums can implement this emerging technology to advance access/inclusion and to develop innovative events beyond library and museum walls. This session was part of the ATALM annual conference held in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, on October 10-13, 2017.
