First Nations Records Management: History and Case Studies

In this presentation, Indri Pasaribu and Adrienne Hembree present viable options for First Nations communities, governments, and organizations wishing to begin a records management program, by focusing on two case studies: The Tsleil-Waututh Nation's developing records management initiatives and the First Nations Summit's implementation of a records management plan. The presentation discusses the challenges, shortfalls, and successes of developing records management projects and provides strategies for customizing records management "best practices" to First Nations' needs.
