In this video, Brian Carpenter, Curator of Native American Materials, American Philosophical Society, discusses the American Philosophical Society's online archival catalog and collection finding aids, and how to utilize the Indigenous Subject Guide to locate materials. The methods for requesting materials are also described. This video supplements the session "The American Philosophical Society: A Guide to the Continent’s Oldest Source of Indigenous Archival Materials" given at the 2018 ATALM annual conference held in Prior Lake, Minnesota, on October 8-11, 2018.
