In this video, Gail Joice, Collections Manager and Museum Specialist at the National Museum of the American Indian, discusses how the Smithsonian provided relief and responded to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Joice provides some good practices and protocols institutions have in place in order to be effective stewards of Native cultural material. This session was part of the 2015 ATALM annual conference held in Washington, DC on September 9-12, 2015.
