In this video, Diana Folsom, Director of Digital Collections at the Gilcrease Museum/University of Tulsa and Ann Early, State Archeologist at Arkansas Archeological Survey, University of Arkansas, introduce the Distant Cataloging Interface (DCI). Diana Folsom discusses how the DCI originated and why a software like this is needed. Ann Early discusses how she uses the interface as an archaeologist collaborating with the Gilcrease Museum. This video supplements the session, "Native Artists and Scholars Bring Past to Present: Cataloguing from Home" given at the 2017 ATALM annual conference held in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, on October 10-13, 2017.
