In this tutorial, Guha Shankar, Folklife Specialist and Jon Gold, Audio-Visual Technician at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, discuss the various components of a recording chain and describe three different types of microphones you may use to record your interview. This tutorial was recorded during the 2015 Post-ATALM SHN Workshop, held at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC on September 13-15, 2015.
