Developing a Community Needs Assessment and Strategic Plan/Collections Policy

In this presentation, Alana McGrattan, Tribal Libraries Program Coordinator at New Mexico State Library and Brian Leaf, Emerging Technologies Coordinator at the NNLM South Central Region and the state liaison to Louisiana and New Mexico, provide model templates developed by the New Mexico State Library and the National Library of Medicine aimed at helping tribal librarians to easily and effectively conduct community needs assessments that can be used to inform and develop strategic plans and guide collections policies. This session was part of the ATALM annual conference held in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, on October 10-13, 2017.
