Community-Based Archiving: Adding Cultural Context to Historic Records in Barrio Pascua Viejo

In this presentation, Guillermo "Bill" Quiroga, Director of the Old Pascua Museum & Yaqui Culture Center; Kari Quiballo, American Indian Studies Doctoral Student at the University of Arizona; and Ofelia Zepeda, Knowledge River Scholar from the University of Arizona discuss their experience of successfully implementing a community-based archives project utilizing the principles of participatory archiving, which engages communities in the collection, preservation, and sharing of records documenting their own histories.
