Cleaning Techniques for Basketry [Tutorial]

In this video tutorial, Nancy Odegaard, Head of Preservation at the Arizona State Museum, demonstrates some of the techniques she uses for cleaning basketry surfaces. Using a miniature basket, she illustrates how to clean baskets with a fan brush and a vacuum cleaner. This tutorial supplements her session, "Care and Curation of Basketry" given at the 2015 ATALM annual conference held in Washington, DC on September 9-12, 2015.
