Elizabeth Holford, Objects Conservator, National Museum of the American Indian, and Lauren Osmond, Assistant Conservator (Term), Canadian Conservation Institute, cover basic surface cleaning techniques for various collection items, including basketry, wood, hide, and textiles. Topics will include the decision process on when to clean, techniques, materials, and tools to use, and where to get them locally and online.
