In this presentation, Martin Kong, Systems Librarian in the Chicago State University Library, discusses the workflows associated with digital preservation. In particular, he reviews skills that would be helpful to have to facilitate the use of digital preservation tools such as how to extract files in an operating system and how to work with a command line interface. Finally, he discusses the use of virtual machines and their applicability to digital preservation. This presentation was given at the 2018 POWRR Institute, held in Warm Springs, OR on April 28-29, 2018.
