Digital Language Rights Management
Description:
In this video, Gary Holton, Director of the Alaska Native Language Archive, discusses some of the implications of digital language archiving as opposed to analog documentation. He focuses on the management of digital rights protocols and the issues of access, circulation and use of digital language materials. This video supplements the SHN half-day workshop, "Preserving and Enhancing Native Language Resources in Tribal Libraries, Archives, and Museums" given by Holton and Andrea Berez-Kroeker, Assistant Professor of Linguistics at University of Hawai'i, as part of the pre-ATALM SHN Workshops, held in Washington, DC on September 10, 2015.
