Call for Collaboration: A Routledge Text on Indigenous Digital Resources

Description:

In this video, Dr. Janet Hess, Professor at Sonoma State University, and Pbonchai Tallman, Activist, describe "Mapping Indigenous American Cultures and Living Histories," a project that incorporates digital resources and digital mapping of Indigenous nations and cultures, as well as "Digital Mapping and Indigenous America," a forthcoming Routledge edited anthology. Topics of discussion include how these resources can be used by Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals as educational tools, how viewers can engage with the Map of Indigenous American Cultures and Living Histories, and/or how they can have their work included in "Digital Mapping and Indigenous America." This video supplements the sessions "Call for Collaboration: A Routledge Text on Indigenous Digital Resources" and "Digital Resource Collaboration: The Work Behind Mapping Indigenous American Cultures and Living Histories" given at the 2019 ATALM annual conference held in Temecula, California on October 8-11, 2019.
