Tribal Archives, Traditional Knowledge and Local Contexts

This article by Kim Christen examines the landscape of tribal or Indigenous archival management as it related to digital assets and more specifically how these might help us reimagine the intellectual property needs of local, traditional, and Indigenous communities, libraries, archives, and museums as they seek to manage, preserve and reuse their digital cultural heritage. This publication was used by Jane Anderson for her session on intellectual property at the 2015 ATALM pre-conference workshop sponsored by the Sustainable Heritage Network titled "Developing Tools to Navigate Intellectual Property and Protect Cultural Heritage," held in Washington DC on September 10, 2015.
