2016 University of Oregon Libraries SHN Workshop: Digitization Basics

The University of Oregon Libraries SHN Workshop focused on digital heritage preservation for Oregon’s tribal communities, on May 6, 2016. This one-day workshop covered basic digitization strategic planning, infrastructure, preservation, project management, and workflows specific to tribal cultural heritage projects. Participants learned best practices and gained hands-on-experience for digitizing documents, photographs, and audio recordings, as well as resources and possible future collaborative projects to make them accessible and useful to their communities. Participants worked directly with demonstration materials, hardware, and software on site.
