Embedded Metadata Screencast

This screencast video is an introduction to embedded metadata. The screencast will introduce you to general information about viewing embedded metadata in different operating systems and programs, creating or modifying embedded metadata, and reasons for using both embedded metadata and external metadata. This screencast is part of Module 2: Check It of the Digital Stewardship Curriculum. It was originally recorded as part of the Tribal Stewardship Cohort Program Virtual Instruction Session training in January 2017. 

Item Level Metadata Screencast

This screencast video is an introduction to descriptive item level metadata. The screencast will introduce you to general information about descriptive metadata, the reasons for creating metadata for individual items in a collection, examples, and general recommendations for creating metadata. Introduction to Creating Policies Video

This video is an introduction to creating written policies, strategic goals, and other documentation for your institution. This video will introduce you to the reasons for creating guiding policies and goals. This video will also introduce the idea of creating documentation that will function and work together at different levels: the institutional level, policy level, and project level. The video includes general information on what to include in policies and introduces several policies that are part of the Digital Stewardship Curriculum resources.
