First Nations Records Management: History and Case Studies
In this presentation, Indri Pasaribu and Adrienne Hembree present viable options for First Nations communities, governments, and organizations wishing to begin a records management program, by focusing on two case studies: The Tsleil-Waututh Nation's developing records management initiatives and the First Nations Summit's implementation of a records management plan. The presentation discusses the challenges, shortfalls, and successes of developing records management projects and provides strategies for customizing records management "best practices" to First Nations' needs. This session was part of the 2015 ATALM annual conference held in Washington, DC on September 9-12, 2015.
